Consultation on the Proposal to Increase the capacity at Beaucroft Foundation Special School by 80 places from September 2022

Queen Elizabeth Leisure Centre in Wimborne, Dorset is owned by the Queen Elizabeth School Foundation Trustees. Through a dual-use agreement, we manage the site. This agreement lets both the school and community have access to the facilities at set times. Queen Elizabeth School receives funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency for their use of the facilities and we fund the community usage. We have the right to give 2 years notice to withdraw from the management agreement.

The council's objective is to have one parking offer for Blue Badge holders across the Dorset Council area that is easy to understand and consistent.

Dorset Council are inviting Weymouth and Portland residents to have their say in the relocation of a local Registration Service Ceremony room.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP Council) and Dorset Council are jointly consulting on the ‘The Dorset Heathlands Planning Framework Supplementary Planning Document’ (SPD). The SPD covers the period 2020-2025 and supports the interpretation and implementation of statutory development policies set out in local plans. Each year Dorset Council is required to consult on its admissions arrangements for schools, nurseries and sixth forms that are under the control of the local authority as well as the proposed coordinated admissions scheme for the allocation of places across all schools in Dorset. The former Weymouth and Portland Borough Council is considering the introduction of a Selective Licensing Scheme under the Housing Act 2004 in parts of the Melcombe Regis ward in Weymouth. If introduced landlords of all privately rented property within the area will need to be licensed.
