Dorset Council is currently developing an equality, diversity and
inclusion strategy and action plan. As a public body, we have both a
legal and moral duty to promote equality, diversity and inclusion
amongst residents, service users and our own employees. The council’s
vision is to make Dorset a great place to live, work and visit. As an
organisation we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion,
valuing and recognising our differences, however, we appreciate there
is a lot more we should be doing.
This draft strategy proposes how the council will deliver equality,
diversity and inclusion over the next four years and our action plan
details of what work we will undertake in the next year to help
deliver this strategy.
