Alderholt Parish Council has prepared a draft neighbourhood plan. It has undergone examination by an independent examiner. Before the plan can be 'made' (adopted), it must receive a positive result at a local referendum.

Referendum

Dorset Council has agreed with the findings of the Examiner’s Report and the referendum will now take place on Thursday 28 November 2024.  The referendum will ask: “Do you want Dorset Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Alderholt to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”

Paper copies of the documents are available to view at County Hall Reception, Dorchester, and at Verwood Library. Unfortunately, Verwood Library will close on Monday 18 November for refurbishment, but will reopen on Saturday 23 November. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
