A Planning Public Inquiry appeal is taking place from 10am on Tuesday 25 June 2024, to be held in Council Chambers at Westport House, Worgret Road, Wareham, Dorset, BH20 4PP.

Reason for inquiry
Appeal by Dudsbury Homes (Southern) Ltd against Dorset Council's refusal of planning application P/OUT/2023/01166 to planning application Land To The South Of Ringwood Road Alderholt. Mixed use development of up to 1,700 dwellings including affordable housing and care provision; 10,000sqm of employment space in the form of a business park; village centre with associated retail, commercial, community and health facilities; open space including the provision of suitable alternative natural green space (SANG); biodiversity enhancements; solar array, and new roads, access arrangements and associated infrastructure (Outline Application with all matters reserved apart from access off Hillbury Road)
An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold an Inquiry opening on the date shown above to decide the appeal. Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and, at the Inspector’s discretion, express their views.
Anyone wishing to participate in the inquiry, must make their interest known to the Planning Inspectorate Case Officer as soon as possible, prior to the inquiry, either by email or telephone after reading the inquiry attendance information set out in the full site notice.
