This small and interesting site was saved from the clutches of development as the 'Last Wood of Wimborne'.

How to get there | From Wimborne, either follow Rowlands Hill towards Colehill, turning right at the mini-roundabout onto St John's Hill and immediately left onto Cranfield Avenue, OR follow Leigh Road (B3073) heading east, and turn left onto St John's Hill then right onto Cranfield Avenue at the top of the hill before the mini-roundabout. Follow Cranfield Avenue round, turn left onto Pinetree Close, then right into the cul-de-sac for parking. From Colehill, follow Wimborne Road towards Wimborne town centre, turn left onto Rowlands Hill, left at the mini-roundabout onto St John's Hill, and immediately left again onto Cranfield Avenue. Follow Cranfield Avenue round, turn left onto Pinetree Close, then right into the cul-de-sac for parking. |
