An East Dorset A5 walk pack was previously available from Moors Valley Country Park Visitor Centre and Tourist Information Centres. However, these routes are no longer supported by the council and therefore the walking routes and information contained in the walking pack may be out of date and should not be relied upon. Please refer to a current map before setting out, follow the countryside code and stick to public rights of way.
The Castleman Trailway is one of Dorset's gentlest way-marked, walking, cycling and horse-riding routes. This 16.5-mile (26.5 kilometres) trailway follows much of the old Southampton to Dorchester railway line. The trailway takes you through some of East Dorset's stunning landscape whilst also connecting a string of settlements between Ringwood and Poole.
The Stour Valley Way is a 64-mile walking route that follows much of the course of the River Stour. The route takes you through some varied and beautiful landscapes as the river winds its way from its source at Stourhead in Wiltshire to where it flows into the sea at Hengistbury Head in Dorset.
Stretching from Wareham to Sturminster Marshall, the Wareham Forest Way discovers some of the less well-known landscapes of north Purbeck and east Dorset.
