Project: Marine Youth Academy

Marine Theatre were awarded a grant to provide training and skills development in technical and event management, to a diverse youth community in Lyme Regis, an area of rural deprivation.
Young people were given the opportunity to lead in project design and development, involving their skills and ideas to decide on the direction and delivery of the programme.
With an ambition to engage up to 60 participants, 3000 audience members and working with 10 artists and technicians, this project has given the young people involved, the confidence to enter employment or go on to further education/training.
