Allison Curtis, manager of St Martin’s House for Magna
“I’m Allison Curtis, manager of St Martin’s House for Magna, although my full title is Sheltered Extra Care Coordinator. I’m part of Magna’s housing team, and I’m based on site at St Martin’s House from Monday to Friday. Magna is the landlord here, and I’m the lead person who helps look after our residents and the building itself, working closely with our partners Care Dorset and Dorset Council.
“I’m looking forward to welcoming you to your new home, where you can enjoy your independence along with the care and support you need, as well as feeling part of a community – both within St Martin’s House and the town of Gillingham.
“I’ll be here to say hello and available for any enquiries or requests you have. I’ll be on hand to help with any questions or queries you have on your tenancy, your apartment or reporting repairs, working with our wider Magna colleagues and partners.
“I can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to your new home!”
Caroline Martin - Care Dorset’s manager at St Martin’s House
“Hello! My name is Caroline Martin, and I’m Care Dorset’s manager at St Martin’s House.
“We offer what’s called Extra Care, a flexible kind of long-term adult care, which aims to keep you independent and engaged with the things you love, and be part of your community.
“Extra Care services are regulated by the government’s health and social care watchdog for England, the Care Quality Commission.
“It’s my job to make sure you settle in here as quickly as possible. My team is on hand to support you as you get used to the rhythms of St Martin’s House, as well as with the little extra bits of help you might need to get on with your life.
“St Martin’s House sits in the heart the community. It has been designed to be a community in its own right. It has space for its own social world, and regular times for people to come together.
“I hope you enjoy your new home, and I look forward to welcoming you in person.”
