Dorset Council is seeking customer feedback on the services we provide to support people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
The information you submit to us will be received by Dorset Council in an anonymous form, meaning we will not be able to link any answers back to an individual respondent. If the submission contains personal data that does allow us to identify an individual respondent, we will further process the response to ensure it is anonymised and we will not retain any information that could be linked to an individual respondent.
Personal data we need from you
- information about your current housing status
- information about your experience of homelessness
- your views on how we can most effectively prevent people becoming homeless
- your views on how we can most effectively support people experiencing homelessness
- gender, age, whether you live with anyone else, information about protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010
However, once we have received the data, we will process it in a way that ensures it is anonymised and answers cannot be used to identify individual respondents.
Special category (sensitive) data might we need?
- ethnicity
- data you volunteer in comments which may contain special category data, for example if you provide information about your political opinions.
Who will be using your personal information
Survey Monkey are used as a data process to provide the electronic form which respondents complete to submit their answers. We will ensure personal data is erased by Survey Monkey promptly following the council’s receipt of your feedback. Information about how Survey Monkey use your personal data
What your information will be used for
Your personal information will not be further processed unless it necessary to do so to anonymise any answers you have submitted that may allow us to identify you unless further processed.
Anonymised information will be used by the council to help improve our services.
The lawful or legal basis for requesting and using your information
Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is public task under Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any special category data processed is done so under Article 9(2)(h) and (j) of the GDPR.
How long we will keep your data
We will retain anonymised information for as long as we have a business need to keep it. Any personal data received as part of a survey response will be erased promptly after the closing date of the consultation.
Using your data
Our use of your data will be subject to your legal rights as per the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
