The purpose of the Dorset Community Safety Partnership (CSP)

To deliver safer communities as set out in the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and relevant legislation. 

The CSP will co-ordinate community safety activity in Dorset at a strategic level:

  • to reduce crime and the fear of crime
  • to address the risk, threat and harm to victims and local communities
  • facilitate the strengthening of Dorset's communities in the delivery of local initiatives

Membership

  • Dorset Council
  • Dorset Police 
  • NHS Dorset
  • Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Authority
  • Probation Service (Dorset)

Other community safety partners such as the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Dorset Combined Youth Justice Service, Public Health, Adult and Children's Services and the Fire & Rescue Service are invited to attend meetings of the Dorset Community Safety Partnership if they wish.
