Dorset Council has submitted a compulsory purchase order to the Secretary of State for 26 East Street, Blandford Forum. This order has now been confirmed, authorising Dorset Council to purchase compulsorily that land for the purpose of facilitating its improvement.

The building is situated between the entrance to East Street Hall (the Ginger Viking Bar) and Artisan House (22-24 East Street).
