As part of the traffic management scheme, Dorset Council in exercise of powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to:
- Install a new uncontrolled pedestrian refuge crossing along Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth
- Install a new parallel crossing along Abbotsbury Road, Weymouth (near to its junction with Chickerell Road)
- Install a new signalised puffin crossing along Chickerell Road, Weymouth (near to its junction with Abbotsbury Road)
