About the show
The Chris Slade Timeline was formed in 2021 to celebrate Chris Slade's 50 plus year career as a professional rock drummer since he started with Tom Jones at the tender age of just 16 years old. Since then he has performed with all the greats, including ACDC for two major world tours and two albums, Manfred Mann's Earthband, Count Basie, Paul Rodgers and Jimmy Page, Dave Gilmour, Uriah Heep, Gary Moore, Asia, Michael Schenker and many more!
The Chris Slade Timeline takes music from all of the above, so expect to hear all the hits you know plus plenty you forgot you love! The band toured the UK and Europe extensively, continuing to delight audiences everywhere, giving fans a chance to get up close and personal with the drumming legend ... Their touring was interrupted for two years when Chris Slade received a call from ACDC at the end of 2014 to return for The Rock or Bust Tour.
After the end of the ACDC Rock or Bust Tour in 2016, Chris Slade with his own personal project, the high energy The Chris Slade Timeline Band wasted no time in coming back with a vengeance, this time taking with them the 'Rock or Bust' Drum kit. The band successfully extended its touring in France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Corsica and even Moscow where they performed at the Moscow Olympic Stadium for The Kremlin Cup ATP World Tennis Tournament - the first rock band EVER to do this! The band has played and headlined many festivals including Mainstage 1 at Hellfest, Sylak Bonfest, Raisemefest, Le Mans24hr, Harley Davidson Eurofest St Tropez, Skegness to name just a few, along with several large prestigious private corporate events.
As well as having an exciting setlist that keeps the band onstage for at least two hours or more, an added interest is that in Europe and UK they tour with the original DW drumkit that Chris played on the Rock or Bust World Tour in the USA it is the kit he used at the 57th Grammys. Both kits feature Chris's distinctive signature side bass drums, made by the iconic Thunderstruck. Fans have a rare and unique opportunity yo view either of the kits and get 'up close and personal' with an actual member of ACDC.
Unfortunately for the music business, the COVID-19 pandemic has devastated live performances for many recently but hoping this is now behind us, most artists and bands including The Chris Slade Timeline are now planning their return to the stage and live performances for 2022 onwards.
Chris Slade and his band look forward to meeting old friends and new on the road somewhere...
