Please see our terms and conditions for the flexi stay car park permit, and short stay car park permit:
- a parking permit allows the permit holder to park in the designated car parks but does not guarantee the use of a particular space or the use of any space at times. In the busiest times no space may be available and permit holders would have to park elsewhere at their own expense
- The permit cannot be used with any other parking concession
- the terms & conditions of each car park should be followed. The terms of the car park override the terms of the permits, for example, where a vehicle is allowed to park in a car park with a permit, but motorhomes/campervans are not permitted, that vehicle cannot park if it is a motorhome/campervan
- the permit is only valid in one parking bay, therefore for these permits may not be appropriate for larger vehicles
- it is the motorist’s responsibility to check if their vehicle type can park in the car parks that they intend to use prior to purchasing a permit
- it is the motorist’s responsibility to check that the permit they are using is valid for use in the car park they are parking
- Flexi Stay permits start date is at least 3 days after date of application
- Short Stay permits start on date of sign up (this can be today's date or a future date)
- second homeowners can apply for permits if they pay council tax to Dorset Council and the vehicle (that they would like the permit for) is registered to the Dorset Council property that they pay council tax for
- permits cannot be purchased for guests, family, friends who do not meet the eligibility criteria
- there is no discount if more than one permit bought in one household
- Dorset Council reserve the right to withdraw any permit issued
