Buckhorn Weston and Kington Magna Neighbourhood Plan 2021 to 2038 was made (adopted) on 9 July 2024.

The neighbourhood plan was prepared by the parish council. It has undergone examination by an independent examiner and received a positive result at a local referendum. 

Referendum Result

The Buckhorn Weston and Kington Magna Neighbourhood Plan referendum was held on Thursday 20 June 2024 and asked residents: “Do you want Dorset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Buckhorn Weston and Kington Magna to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”  The result was a majority in favour (138 ‘yes’ votes and 46 ‘no’ votes). Plan Examination

The independent examiner's report of the Buckhorn Weston and Kington Magna Neighbourhood Plan was issued on 27 March 2024.
