General Election postal votes
If you have not received your postal vote for the General Election on 4 July 2024, please call us on 01305 838299 so that a replacement can be issued.
Before you attend
We can only register births that occurred in the Dorset Council area. This does not include Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. If your baby was born elsewhere you can make a declaration with us if you are a Dorset Council resident. Please telephone us to make an appointment.
Who can attend
Only the parents and the baby may attend the appointment. However, please note that the baby does not need to be brought to the appointment. If parents are married only one parent needs to attend.
No one else, including other children, should attend the appointment.
