Holiday activity program

The following activities are:

  • free with a HAF passcode - Fully booked for Easter with Summer opening soon
  • £59.50 for self funded participants - Spaces available 
  • 9:30am to 4:30pm
  • split by age groups 8 to 12 and 10 to 16

We would like to invite young people of the local area to join us for a day of activities and nutritious hot lunch at Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre. Find more information on HAF funding and get a passcode.

The team at Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre will allocate places and email you confirmation in due course.

We offer additional support, by means of a small group of 10 children with two staff members. 1:1 support can be requested and funded but this must be communicated and arranged in advance.  

Lunch is provided by Loose Moose Catering in Weymouth. The children will enjoy a nutritious hot meal, a piece of fruit, and a bakery treat. If you would prefer to bring a packed lunch, please do so. 

Summer WILD sessions

Join us for a WILD Wednesday this August! Start your day with exciting watersports, including fun on our Mega SUP or tandem kayaks. In the afternoon, challenge yourself on land with activities like climbing the tower, shooting arrows at the archery range, or exploring the indoor tunnels.

You can join us for various sessions:

  • mornings: 9:30am to 12:30pm
  • afternoons: 1:30pm to 4:30pm or
  • all day: 9:30am to 4:30pm

The pricing is £26.50 for a half day or £53 for a full day.

Sessions are available on the following dates and are suitable for ages 8 to 16:

  • 6 August
  • 13 August
  • 20 August
  • 27 August

If you are staying all day, you will need to bring a packed lunch. We suggest that everyone bring a drink bottle, a snack, and a complete change of clothes, including spare shoes (just in case!). For the watersports, participants will need a swimming costume, a towel, and shoes they don’t mind getting wet (such as an old pair of trainers). Wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and all other equipment will be provided.

Short Break SEND activity sessions 

£6 per person, per half day session

Join the friendly team of instructors to explore adventure sports in a small and supportive group. Open to young people with mild to moderate needs. These sessions are part of the Short Break scheme, providing a short break to parents and guardians. Sessions are part funded by Dorset Council. Please get in touch if you have any difficulty paying the sessional rate as we want all families to have the opportunity to book.

Summer crag climbing club

The climbing club moves outdoors during the summer term to enjoy the real rock and lighter evenings. These sessions are open to all club members aged 11 to 18 year olds. If you are an existing climber, but new to the club, drop us an enquiry to see if there is space for you to join a trial session. 

The climbing club will:

  • be on Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
  • cost £18 per session, bookable per half term 
  • run from 23 April to 21 May
  • run from 4 June to 23 July
  • include minibus transport and all equipment included

Intro to climbing club sessions 

These sessions are aimed at youngsters looking to learn the ropes to join the Wednesday evening climbing club. Open to beginners aged 11 to 18 years of age with little or no climbing experience.  The first session will be based indoors, before transitioning to the real rock, where the group will integrate with the club members whilst continuing their small group tuition with their own instructor. 

The climbing club will:

  • be on Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
  • cost £63 per person, for three sessions
  • need a minimum of 2 people

Autumn and winter indoor climbing club

11 to 18 year olds are invited to climb weekly on a Wednesday evening during term time at a local indoor facility. The club is open to amateur and improver climbers, but not complete beginners. If you would like to learn how the belay and tie in, you can book onto an introduction course. 

The climbing club will:

  • be on Wednesday evenings from 5pm to 6:30pm
  • cost £16 per session, bookable per half term 
  • run from 10 September to 22 October
