Purbeck is host to two swimming clubs. Wareham and District Swimming Club and Bere Regis Swimming Club.
Wareham and District Swimming Club swim at the Sports Centre three times a week, Sunday and Monday evenings and Saturday mornings.
We have sessions tailored for those wishing to develop their swimming including water skills, rescue and water safety, personal survival, synchronised swimming, diving and competitive swimmers wishing to compete in competitions.
Swimmers wishing to join the club must be able to swim 25m of Front Crawl, Backstroke and Breaststroke.
Children can go on to develop their strokes to a competitive high standard and/or eventually work towards becoming a qualified Swimming Teacher.
Contact Wareham and District Swimming Club for more information.
We aim to improve the standard of swimming in the area and to take children from complete beginners to competitive standard in a happy and friendly environment.
In this structured programme, we are also able to teach elementary diving, synchronised swimming and personal survival to our older children.
We are open to children from the Bere Regis area and the surrounding villages.
Take a look at the Bere Regis Swimming Club website for further information.
