This page contains details of the first stage of consultation on issues and options, and site options, including a report on the results of the consultation. It also contains detailed technical information relating to the assessment of potential Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpeople sites.
The consultation on the Issues and Options and Site Options took place between 18 November 2011 and 10 February 2012. Over 20 exhibitions were held across the county, including in Bournemouth and Poole, and a number of specific stakeholder meetings also took place.
Altogether almost 10,000 written responses were received, as well as 32 petitions containing over 6,000 signatures. A report on the results of this first stage of consultation is available. For individual councils' views on this consultation, contact the planning policy team of your local council.
