Pre-employment programme
We are currently launching a pilot of our pre-employment programme, part of the Pathway to Employment initiative, aimed at helping care-experienced young people build the skills and confidence needed to secure and sustain meaningful employment.
Programme overview
- Weeks 1 to 4 - focus on developing essential soft skills and starting qualifications in maths and English (or alternative accredited courses based on individual needs)
- Weeks 4 to 16 - participants will also gain practical experience through a weekly work placement
- Towards the end of the programme, participants will receive dedicated support on CV writing, job applications, and interview preparation to ensure they are fully equipped to move forward with confidence
As this is a pilot programme, we will be actively engaging with participants throughout, learning from their experiences to continuously improve and refine the support we provide.
Mentoring support will be provided by Emma, with ongoing education and skills support from Denise and Mia throughout the programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to take their first steps towards a brighter future. If you are interested in taking part please contact us or book a meeting with one of our apprenticeship and work-based learning team.
