We charge a fee for each submission to the Dorset Biodiversity Appraisal Protocol (DBAP).
Amendments cost £42. An amendment refers to the updating of approved Biodiversity Plans (BPs) or ecological information requiring a re-issue of a Certificate of Approval within the 3 year validity period of the certificate.
We charge the full fee for:
- new applications for the same site
- BPs/ecological information amended beyond the 3 year period
We apply a small increase to fees (rounded to the nearest pound) every year, in line with inflation.

Fees can be paid:

- by card by calling 01305 228602 or 01305 228608. If paying by card please state that the payment is being made for Biodiversity Appraisal and give the site address
- by cheque made payable to Dorset Council and sent to the Natural Environment Team
