Known archaeology
Prehistoric features, such as round barrows. Extensive areas of prehistoric field systems, surviving as earthworks or visible as crop/soil marks in arable. Associated prehistoric and Romano-British enclosures and larger-scale settlements. Iron Age hillforts are a notable feature.
