Birthday parties at Avon Heath

Join the rangers for an exciting outdoor experience!

From den building to mini beast safaris, there’s plenty of fun for any child’s birthday at Avon Heath. 

Take a look at some of the themes on offer at the park:

• Mini Explorers - make a paper plate pond, complete a mini beast safari or get full house in our colour bingo game. Tell us what your little ones love and the rangers will tailor it to them. Suitable for 3 year olds plus
• Den Building - join the rangers in designing and constructing your own shelter. Suitable for 5 year olds plus
• Mini Beast Safari - come and see what lurks beneath the water in our pond, look under logs for creepy crawlies and spot spiders in the gorse. The park provides the bug pots, ID charts and expertise if you are brave enough to join us! Dependent on season and weather. Suitable for 6 year olds plus
• you might even have an idea of your own, in which case have a chat with one of the rangers. We also have an activity room and BBQs on the green available for hire if you want to organise your own thing

Activities last an hour with the rangers (unless otherwise stated).   

We try to continue the parties whatever the weather, however if conditions are extremely poor it may be possible to run an alternative indoor activity or postpone to another date. 

Cost

£11 per child unless otherwise stated, with a minimum charge of £80. 

A deposit of £30 is required at the time of booking. You can pay by cash or credit/debit cards. This deposit is non-refundable.

How many children?

A minimum of 6 children and a maximum of 15 children a session. 

Supervision of children

Avon Heath staff are responsible for leading the event, parents and carers are responsible for the children.  We require a minimum of 3 adults to supervise the children and stay throughout the Ranger led activity. 

We recommend alternative arrangements are made for younger siblings as some of the activities are not suitable for small children. 

Food

Families often bring their own picnics - especially appealing for den builders as the children can enjoy eating the food in their own creation! We also have BBQs on the green available for hire. 

Our indoor Activity Room is also available to hire at a discounted rate if booked in conjunction with a ranger led birthday party.

Booking

Birthday parties are very popular at Avon Heath and time slots are limited.  If you would like to book a party please ask in the Visitor Centre or contact us to check dates and times.
