- your Council Tax reference (starting with a 1, found on the front of your current bill)
- your debit or credit card details

Online banking or standing order
You can make arrangements with your bank or building society to set up regular payments to us. You will need:
- our bank sort code: 60-07-01
- our bank account number: 47109254
- your Council Tax reference: starting with a 1, found on the front of your current bill
Paying by direct debit saves public money on transaction processing costs.
Before you start, you will need:

You can choose for your payment to be taken on either the 1st or 16th of each month.

You can set up or amend a Direct Debit securely over the phone during office hours.

Your Council Tax cost is usually split into 10 monthly payments. You can ask to make 12 monthly payments instead. You can't make this request over the phone.

What happens if you don't pay
If you don’t pay your Council Tax on time you may receive a reminder notice. If you keep failing to pay, we could take recovery action.
