Catherine Ronzitti (She/Her) Home First Specialist Manager
Meet Catherine Ronzitti (Home First Specialist Manager).
I found myself in Social Work accidentally, after growing up wanting to be a Firefighter. Perhaps the underlying theme was a drive to help people and improve their lives.
My final placement for my Social Work training was within a Community Mental Health Team. The passion my placement supervision displayed certified for me that I wanted to work for Dorset Council.
Since joining Dorset Council as a newly qualified Social Worker, I have been fortunate to have supportive managers who have enabled me to accumulate experience and encourage personal and professional growth.
Alongside continuing professional development, I have gained additional post-graduate qualifications and advanced my skills both as a Social Worker and as a leader and manager.
Dorset Council has invested in me as an employee, and my managers have provided coaching and mentoring resulting in a more varied career than I thought possible.
I currently work within a multidisciplinary health and social care team supporting individuals who require additional support when leaving hospital.
Dorset Council meaningfully values staff well-being, I'm also incredibly passionate about encouraging well-being for all and currently achieve this via open water swimming and countryside walks.
Dorset is such a stunning area, and we are so incredibly lucky to have access to areas of outstanding natural beauty on our doorsteps.
