Fees
The annual fee increase for this financial year takes effect from 1 June 2024.

Other charges

Registration fee for privately funded places |
A £50 fee is payable which includes a 1 hour trial session in either the morning or the afternoon. |
| Booking cancellation | You must provide 4 weeks’ written notice or 4 weeks’ payment instead of notice. If your child is in receipt of Early Education Funding (EEF) the setting will retain funding for the relevant notice period. |
| Late payment charge | A £10 fee will be applied to any invoice left unpaid after the cut-off date to the next invoice per family. |
| Late collection charge | Occasionally delays are unavoidable however, we should be informed at the earliest opportunity if you are going to be late. A £10 fee will be applied to invoices for families who are more than 10 minutes late collecting their child or children. |
| Session change fee | A £10 administration fee is applied to the next invoice when a green session change request form is approved. |
Dorset Council reserve the right to amend fees in line with related costs.

Meal fees
Breakfast and snacks are provided free of charge. Cold lunches and/or hot dinners to be provided by the parent or carers.
Childcare funding
We provide spaces for children who receive 2, 3 and 4 year old childcare funding. This includes 30 hours of free childcare (subject to parent’s eligibility). We offer funding term time only or ‘stretched’ across both term time and holidays.
2 year old funding for working families came into effect from 1 April 2024. This gives families up to 15 hours of free childcare with a valid eligibility code. 15 hours of funding for children aged 9 months and over from children of working families will take effect from 1 September 2024.

When you can use funding at Blandford Nursery
15 hours of funding can be used in blocks:
- 3 hour (9am to midday or 1pm to 4pm)
- 5 hour (8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm)
- 10 hours (8am to 6pm)
30 hour funded children can also use their funding for the midday to 1pm sessions.
Most funding is used term time only however some parents choose all year round (stretched) attendance.
If using ‘stretched’ funding across the term time and holidays there is an Annual Stretch option which runs for the academic year 1 September to 31 August. This averages your funding across the 3 terms giving 11.25 hours a week (for 15 hour eligibility) or 22.75 hours a week (for 30 hour eligibility).
