Owners and managers of a campsite must:
- have the correct permissions to operate
- comply with all the legislative requirements
The main piece of legislation is the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. It lays out the duty of the site operators to make sure the public is safe when at their sites.
There is also specific legislation that you must follow such as:
- fire risk assessments
- electrical safety checks
Our online form can help check you are compliant. It will create an action plan of any areas you need to address.
What happens next
Once you have completed the form, you will be emailed a list of areas you should address to meet the legislation.
We will follow up with you to make sure you have addressed each of these items by the dates outlined on the action plan.
