Overview
Some people are not counted towards the number of adults living in a household. This is called 'disregarded'. Your bill is worked out as if they were not living there.
If a child turns 18 and is still in receipt of child benefit, they wont be counted when working out how many adults live in the property. You just need to let us know this change of circumstances by completing our short online form.
Please note, there can only be one adult living in the property to qualify for this discount. When counting the number of adults, any person aged 18 and and in receipt of Child Benefit may be disregarded.
