Local Transport Plan (LTP) 2026 to 2041

Warning The Local Transport Plan consultation is now closed. We’ll review all the feedback and make changes where needed before the plan is finalised in 2026
Thank you to everyone who contributed to shaping our new joint Local Transport Plan which you can now view.

Dorset Council, as the Local Transport Authority, has a statutory duty to have a Local Transport Plan (LTP). Our previous LTP covered 2011 to 2026 which has now been replaced by our new LTP 2026 to 2041. It sets out the long-term goals, strategy, and policies for improving transport for everyone over a 15 year period and help us secure funding and deliver improvements.
